Welcome! My name is Coleen Peggs. I am a masters student at the University of Florida pursuing an Master of Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology. I received my Bachelor of Public Health and minors in Pathogenesis and Chemistry from UF in May 2025. My research interests include infectious diseases, antibiotic resistance, and vaccine technology. I have experience in research through my undergraduate work at the UF Cancer and Genetics Research Complex and graduate research with the Maurelli Lab at the UF Emerging Pathogens Institute.
After graduating from UF with my MPH, I aim to pursue a PhD in Immunology or Infectious Disease Research. This will fulfill my goals of research antibiotic resistance and vaccine targets in pathogenic bacteria.
